A History of Hosting
Built in 1950, Chaska Athletic Park has been the site of many great events including four State Tournaments (1955, 1988, 1998, 2008). The ballpark resides along the Minnesota River which has had occasion to flood the great field. Each time, it has come back better than before. The anticipation is growing as we prepare for the 98th Annual Minnesota State Amateur Baseball tournament coming to Waconia, Chaska and Hamburg.
We look forward to remembering our past, cherishing our present while growing our future with baseball at Athletic Park. Our tradition of hosting tournaments includes Class A High School Tournaments, High School All Star games (now known as Play Ball MN!) and American Legion tournaments which will put us in a great position to showcase Town Ball Baseball’s best in 2021.
Our community will help us out as they always have in the past to make sure the teams and their fans feel welcome. Chaska Baseball Association will be involved like never before as we strive to grow baseball in the Chaska area. We are excited to open our gates to fans who have been here before and welcome new fans to our grand old ballpark.
